AMEE in China


Norton Rose Group, the international legal practice, included AMEE in its global series of seminars addressing climate change.

“Twin Perspectives on Sustainability” discussed best practices in China and beyond in achieving economic development while protecting the environment and ensuring a sustainable future. It was attended by sustainability experts from the British and Chinese government as well as senior members of the financial, business, academic, and media communities. The Lord Mayor of the City of London’s opening address highlighted London’s experiences building a sustainable economy while the Director of the Financial Service Office of the Beijing Municipal Government, Mr. Huo Xuewen, provided a detailed overview of the development of Beijing’s financial district and its sustainable philosophy.

Peter Wong, Executive Director of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, stated:

“Understanding best sustainable practices is critical. Every company must manage its operations to ensure it adopts an appropriate sustainable philosophy.”
