AMEE CEO Gavin Starks spoke at TEDxEast on November 11. The talk, entitled “Codifying Sustainability – A Purpose for the Internet of Things,” examined the conference’s theme of interconnectivity in the context of environmental preservation. As more and better emissions data becomes available, how will it be captured, analyzed, and shared? What new applications and opportunities will emerge when the smart grid meets the social network?
TED created TEDx, a program of local, self-organized events, to further the development of “ideas worth spreading.” We’ll post the video of the talk when it’s available. In the meantime, here’s the first in a five-part panel discussion featuring Gavin and other TEDxEast panelists, hosted by BBC World News America.
